About the GSSCC

The mission of the Genealogical Society of Santa Cruz County is to foster and nurture interest in genealogy by providing guidance, information, and inspiration, while encouraging the broader public in the development of family histories and genealogical records.

General in person Meetings are on hold due to COVID-19; we hope they can resume in early 2022.  Normally held on the first Tuesday of each month (except in July, August, and December), from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the meeting room (second floor) of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, Downtown Branch  (see Calendar for details). It’s suggested you arrive by 12:45 p.m. for a good seat.

Board Meetings are held starting at 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month via virtual Zoom meetings. All members are welcome to attend. To sign up to attend, please contact: staff@scgensoc.org

Society Newsletters are published in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

Membership is $25 per year, due July 1. The membership application be sent to the Treasurer at the address below or handed to a staffer in the Genealogy Library.
