Guest Speaker: Karen Theriot Reader

“Find A Grave” is a free resource for finding the final resting places of famous folks, friends and family members. It is a very popular website that allows the public to access and add to an online database of cemetery records.   With over 143 million grave records available worldwide, it is an invaluable tool which Karen will navigate us through.

 

Karen Theriot Reader has been a member of the GSSCC for the past 25 years.  She is a retired librarian and served as the GSSCC President from 2009 – 2010.  She is a member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, among others, and has earned her Master’s degree in Library Science at the University of California, Berkeley.  Karen specializes in Acadian French research and Cajun Louisiana genealogy, and lives in Santa Cruz County.
